Blumat Polska wins the Consumer Award "Discovery Of The Year 2009"

Grupa Media Partner has selected Blumat Polska as winner for the Consumer Award "Discovery Of The Year 2009", section watering accessories. Basis for this award are surveys amongst consumers. According to statements of the jury responsible for the prize, the number of answers voting for Blumat was a great surprise for them, since in previous years they haven't even heard of Blumat.

Blumat Polska started their business activities last year.

In 2008 this prize was given to Gardena.

An innovation from Blumat: The Bottle Adapter

Blumat now offers a solution for flower friends to water plants over a warm weekend in summer. It doesn't require an installation. It can be used if neither water tap nor tank is available.

What's always at hand is an empty water or coke bottle. Together with the new Blumat Bottle Adapter it is the perfect water supply container for your balcony or terrace flowers. The Blumat Bottle Adapter distributes the water directly into the soil, slowly upon the needs of the plants.

Usage is simple: Just fill the bottle, attach the bottle adapter. Put the bottle headfirst into ground so that the ceramic cone is entirely surrounded by soil. Prick a little hole with a needle into the bottle bottom to allow air inrush.

The duration of watering is dependend from the water needs of your plants as well as of course from the size of the bottle. Compaired to direct supply of water the bottle adapter saves about 50 per cent of water since it is saved from spilling and evaporating on the surface. So for the most cases your plants are sufficiently watered for two days.

For lengthy flower planters (e.g. for balcony flowers) one bottle per 20 to 25cm length of the planter is required. Round pots up to 25cm diameter one bottle is sufficient. Bigger containers require two or more bottles.

For flowers with high water consumption (like surfinia, pelargonia, angel's trumpets) the large size Bottle Adapters are ideal, whereas the regular size fits to all flowers with lower water consumption.
